Our Portfolio

Using Claris FileMaker we have created a wide range of solutions for clients in many industries.

Switching salesperson’s pens and pads for iPads in the field, designing entire CRM systems or simplifying ordering and delivering quotes, we take great pride in providing intelligent software that makes lives easier and businesses better.

We’re proud of the following quotes from two Managing Directors and the projects in our portfolio.

“…the solution is fantastic. It was key to achieving an extra £450k EBITDA in the first year of use. I confidently estimate this will increase to over £5m within the next three years. Well done and thank you, Critica Solutions & FileMaker.” – Mark Wilkins, MD at Tangible Building Solutions.

“Processes that took us four hours now take less than four minutes.” – Matt Lord, MD at Traditional Sash Windows.

Expul Ltd

Our client offers bespoke machine manufacturing to the composites industry. They were operating a growing business using Microsoft Office to manage their enquiries, quotes, purchase orders, projects, invoices and reports.
As the business grew the scale of administration quickly became difficult to manage.
Our solution provided a custom made ERP solution using one centralised data repository. This enabled our client to radically streamline their paperwork and focus on their core competencies.

SurplusMeds

A King’s Fund report in 2017 highlighted that at least £400million was being lost annually from outdated pharmaceutical stocks. Essentially expensive stocks of NHS drugs were wasted each year.
We developed for our client, a pharmaceutical wholesaler, a solution that enabled NHS pharmacies to seamlessly transfer drugs overnight between hospitals. This meant that expensive drugs could be utilised within their sell by dates.

  • Easy access to database via mobile phone, tablet, desktop, internet.
  • Matching all drugs from lookups
  • Auto emails/text of expensive drugs reaching sell by dates

TBS

Our client, an insurance claims management company, manages insurance claims on behalf of policyholders.
They would visit the policyholder to itemise the damage, sign up the client, create a detailed estimate and register the claim with the insurer.
They would then manage the whole reinstatement. The process was manually time consuming, required third party bookings such as surveyors, contractors etc, and as such was subject to booking errors and poor customer communication.
Our solution integrated online customer signup via DocuSign, with regular progress reports via Twilio text messages to customers and contractors.
This resulted in the company expanding rapidly and generating approximately £500k of extra profit within the first 12 months.

Traditional Sash Windows

Our client, manufactures and sells high quality timber windows and doors to the public. Prior to our solution their sales team would survey someone’s home and record the measurements on paper. This would then pass to their admin team to generate a quote for their customers. The whole process took at least 10 days and in busier periods longer. Once an order was agreed, the customer’s fitting date was unconfirmed until a manufacturing slot was allocated by the manufacturing department. This often frustrated customers.
Our solution provided seamless automation from the first sales enquiry through manufacturing, fitting and customer sign-off.

  • Billing (deposits, final payments etc.) automated
